Youth worker’s mobility - Kinetic youth - move to grow

“Kinetic youth-move to grow” is a mobility for youth workers under KA1. The main activity of the project is the training for youth workers in the field of dance and movement as a powerful tool in working with young people. The project aims to equip youth workers with competences to promote and develop kinetic and emotional intelligence in young people. We strongly believe that non-formal learning is active learning of individuals, that creative expression leads to critical thinking and that creativity is a very powerful tool for self-awareness and the amazing tool for discovering one’s authentic self, which is very necessary for young people during adolescence. Dance and movement provide a way of learning that develops communication skills, problem-solving techniques as well as creative and critical thinking skills as well as kinetic skills.
Our AIMis to train every youth worker to develop, enhance and foster kinetic intelligence in himself and the young people with whom he works and thus directly build an environment that encourages the development of critical thinking.

Objectives:
● Train 27 youth workers and leaders in the field of dance and movement methodology as a learning tool that can more effectively promote and develop kinesthetic intelligence and contribute to the development of creativity and critical thinking in young people.
● Establish a foundation for the development of partnerships and new joint projects in the field of dance and movement learning within the partners of the project.
● Increase public awareness of the importance of developing kinesthetic intelligence in young people through dance and the movement and the use it has in developing creativity and critical thinking.

The Youth Worker-Training Mobility Project responds very well to the needs of all partners involved in the project, and to the Youth Workforce Guidelines, as it enables youth workers to develop and strengthen their competences for youth work.

In the project “Kinetic youth-move to grow project”, we aim to carry out one activity, which is a five-day training activity for youth workers. The training is intended for youth workers and youth leaders to learn and develop competences within the framework of kinetic and emotional intelligence. The main working methods will be through dance and movement, as well as methods of monitoring learning effects and performing self-reflections in non-formal learning. The training will include 12 partners from Poland, Spain, Romania, Greece, Czech Republic, Lithuania, Italy, Bulgaria, Austria, Estonia and Hungary. The two organizations come from Greece, however from two different parts of Greece. There is 480 km between them and they are in 2 different regions. Each partner will contribute two participants, 24 participants in total. All partners actively participated in expressing the needs in their organizations to strengthen competencies in the use of dance methods (contact improvisation) and movement in the learning process. Some partners have already identified youth workers, therapists and social workers within their organizations who will attend the training.

The expected results of the project are:

● Developed training plan.
● Training report.
● The results of the analysis of the partners’ performance in dance and movement
● Transfer of good practices between organizations.

The effects of the project were divided into impacts on participants, partners and other target groups and stakeholders. We see the impact on participants in developing soft skills, enhancing employment opportunities in the youth sector and beyond, new methods of working with young people, new knowledge, experience, confidence, tolerance for the values of others, acceptance. We see the impact on partners through establishment of new partnerships, the development of new methods of working with young people, the increase of active participation in the E + program, the empowerment in the field of international youth work, the development of new programs, projects and / or activities and the impact of the European dimension. We also see the impact on other target groups such as organizations in the local environment that provide educational content to different target audiences and schools, as they will have insight into the project through the dissemination of results and thus be able to learn more about Erasmus + and the range of topics it covers.
